señorita ugly

Is it nitpicking a bigger issue if I’m finding the whole ‘care about feminism because you have a sister, mother, wife or daughter’ thing really backwards and kind of offensive? I want my father, brother, husband or son to care about equality and justice because they respect ALL women, not just the ones that they happen to have a close relationship with.

I’m sure the last person who harassed me loves their mum, but I deserve respect too.

Channel 9 cameraman calls Australian Muslim a “fucking terrorist” and then his reaction is used by the media to portray “Muslim gets angry at cameraman”.

Look at this prime example of just how messed up Australia’s media is. Look at how desperate they are to fuel the xenophobia that’s sweeping through the country since the introduction of Tony Abbott’s new “Terror Laws” and raising the Terror Alert. It’s absolutely disgusting.

HIs voice is breaking because he’s fucking fed up with this bullshit and its no wonder.

everyone watch this. I’ve recently started listening to the radio again for lack of a better option and every half hour on the news it’s Muslim this, terrorist that, Muslim, terrorist, Muslims, terrorist, new government powers to stop terrorist Muslims and more terrorism. The current statistics of the past few weeks come in at: Muslim-Australians harassed and vilified: countless. Terrorist attacks in Australia: 0.

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

"Never get violent. Learn non-violent communication. Teach it to your children. Stop generalizing, stop your judgmental thoughts before they enter your mouth. Treat your violence like an addiction. Realize that your anger will mostly harm you. Anger is like drinking poison and then wait for somebody else to die. Stop violent thoughts. Don’t say violent words. Stop calling people names."
